Purpose and Mission
Supporting Children, Families, and Individuals Through Whole-Person Care
The Healing Place at Veritas provides support for children, adolescents, families, and individuals seeking growth, stability, and healing.
Our work is grounded in the understanding that individuals do not develop in isolation. Emotional and behavioral challenges are often shaped by the relationships and environments surrounding them. For this reason, we focus on strengthening both the individual and the family system.
Through mental health services, family support, and practical skill development, we help individuals and families build the foundation for emotional wellbeing, healthy relationships, and improved daily functioning.
Services are provided both within the Veritas Academy setting for enrolled students and at separate locations for individuals and families in the broader community.
Our Approach
We take a whole-person, relational approach to care.
This means we look beyond symptoms to understand the underlying patterns, relationships, and environments that influence a child, individual, or family’s experience. Our work emphasizes practical skill development, consistency across environments, and meaningful support within the family system.
Services may include:
- Emotional regulation and coping skills
- Communication and relationship development
- Behavioral self-management
- Family guidance and education
- Support through life transitions and challenges
Our goal is not only to address immediate concerns, but to equip individuals and families with tools that support long-term growth and stability. Clinical care and educational support are provided in distinct roles to ensure clarity, appropriateness, and ethical practice.
Collaborative and Multidisciplinary Care
When appropriate, services are provided in coordination with other professionals involved in the individual or family’s life.
This may include collaboration with:
- Schools and educators
- Healthcare providers
- Case managers and social services
- Other mental health professionals
This collaborative approach helps ensure that care is consistent, informed, and supportive across the environments where individuals and families live and function.

Faith-Rooted Foundation
Our work is grounded in the belief that every person possesses inherent dignity and worth. We seek to restore hope and emotional health for children, youth, and families facing mental health and behavioral challenges.

Family-Centered Support
Children do not struggle alone. Emotional and behavioral challenges affect the entire family system. For this reason, our work supports both the child and the parents, helping families build stronger communication, stability, and healthy relationships

Skills Development for Growth
Our work with youth focuses on helping children develop skills for emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and personal responsibility. With experience in both mental health and education, we understand the developmental needs of children and adolescents

Clinical Support When Needed
When additional support is needed, clinical services are provided by licensed professionals and may include individual counseling and family therapy, integrated with the broader support of each child and family.
